A
HAUNTED NEW ORLEANS MARDI GRAS
PARADE GHOSTS IN PHOTOS
|
|
|
|
FAMOUS PSYCHIC PARANORMAL GHOST INVESTIGATOR
MICKEY OF MIAMI
bestows the title of
#1 Most Haunted Mardi Gras Parade in Haunted America
|
by
Mickey Of Miami |
My investigation of New Orleans haunting's
has over the past 17 years included not just haunted
houses, Haunted Cemeteries and Haunted public
buildings. It also includes what I know will classify
as The"#1 MOST HAUNTED PARADE IN AMERICA".
Through my own personal private investigation,
and that of other Paranormal Investigators, I
have discovered that this New Orleans parade at
Mardi Gras, The Krewe Of Mid City designed
by New Orleans Artist Ricardo Pustanio
seems to attract tourist from beyond the grave.
I discovered in 1986 when a client showed me
some photos of a New Orleans Mardi Gras parade
she had taken. At the time it was designed by
Mardi Gras Parade float Artist Betty Rae Kern.
To my trained eye, I discovered, orbs, glowing
smoke and even images of partially manifested
spirits mingling amongst the large crowds of parade
goers at this particular parade.
The parade in Question in the photos was that
of the Krewe Of Mid City. This is a very beautiful
foil decorated parade of the New Orleans Mardi
Gras season. The Krewe Of Mid City is the 5th
oldest parade in New Orleans Mardi Gras and was
founded in 1933. It has been Known as the Best
Day partade in New Orleans Mardi Gras for many
years and is the highlite of the season. The intriquet
foil decorations and designs are unique to this
parade alone. Locals say it is the Rose Bowl Parade
done in Aluminum foil. I do not believe that the
age of the parade is why it is haunted. I think
it's the Foil.
A fellow New Orleans Paranormal investigator
suggested to me that the actual tourist that come
to New Orleans bring the ghost of their family
and friends with them when they travel un knowingly.
I to believe this, but, I do not think that is
the case of this parade. From this particular
parade many more Ghost Photos occur then in other
New Orleans Parades. And they occur day and night.
One particular Krewe Of Mid City Float made a
suprise appearence in the Krewe Of Ancient druids
Parade. As you can see by the Photos many paranormal
anomalies occured in the photos. Spirit forms
, ectoplasmic mist, orbs and specteral images
occured. but only in the photos of the Krewe of
Mid City Float. In my many years of research of
this parade I believe Ghost or attracted to the
beautiful aluminum foil decorations. The Foil
covered floats unique to this parade alone, carries
a static charge of electricity from it's foil
and mylars movement.
I have photographed many other parades that pass
that Sunday day each year, from the Krewe Of Okeanas,
Krewe Of Thoth, Krewe Of Bacchus with few results.
Ghost Photos out of hundreds of pictures only
this particular parade seems to have a consistency
of more then 20 photo anomalies each year.
I question them skeptically of course that is
it a trick of light and foil? Not unlike smoke
and Mirrors. Or is it in fact the capturing on
film of actual Ghost at New Orleans Mardi Gras.
In my opinion I believe it is Spiritual manifestations.
Over the many long years I have viewed hundreds
of Mardi Gras ghost photo's, videos, and heard
after the fact reports of activity in the photos
taken by tourist and locals.
The Krewe of Mid City once began it's route in
a area of the city where 8 Haunted cemeteries
are located. It also passed several churches and
more then one area funeral parlor on it's mardi
Gras Parade route.
In recent years the parade has re-located to
a traditional Uptown St. Charles Ave. Route. It
passes several Churches and a very Haunted funeral
home, Hospitals and haunted homes.
I personally wonder does all this fit into the
haunted Parade equation? But several other older
Krewe's at Mardi Gras Take this Traditional Uptown
Parade Route also. I suggest to any Ghost hunter
or accidental tourist with any type of camera
to keep an eye out when you look at your personal
photo's to see what appears in them. My photos
and that of many I have seen are very unique and
tend to show what I consider as proof of this
parade being actually haunted by many , many ghost.
In 2003 I had the pleasure of Meeting the Artist/Designer
of the Krewe Of Mid City , Ricardo Pustanio.
He does not admit or even suggest that the parade
has any spirits, Hauntings or ghost present, but
he says sometimes he thinks that the spirit of
Bettie Rae Kern the past Float designer
watches over his shoulder as he work in the Parade
Krewes Den, foil sculpting and Ricardo hopes she
approves of his designs on her beloved parade.
Ricardo allowed myself and two other investigators
to photograph the parade from it's beginning of
the day at the Krewe
Of Mid City Main Den, on it's route and after
the parade when it was put to bed as they say.
The bulk of photo anomalies occur on parade route
nothing occured at the Parade Krewe Den. I also
took photos on transit to the route and at the
parade line up, and the photos are all normal.
I will continue to monitor this haunting over
the years to come and plan to attend it this upcoming
year. The Krewe Of Mid City will parade on
February 26, 2006 at 2:00PM.
And may I suggest and send out a personal invitation
to other professional and amateur Ghost hunters
to attend and see what proof of an actual ghost
haunting exist. I do so want to see that I am
not alone in my findings. And believe that if
multiple investigations occur along the parade
route more evidence can be gathered.
In no way does anyone associated with the Krewe
or Float designer suggest that any of my findings
are true, they in fact have not endorsed or denied
my findings. I am only going by my own personal
work with deciphering my own photos and those
photos presented to me by clients and Mardi Gras
parade observers.
New Orleans Mardi Gras is so noisy and full of
excitement simple audio test are hard to set up.
Many of the photos are taken along a 5 mile parade
route. So an actual sampling of Mardi Gras Parade
Ghosts photo in hundreds of locations is possible.
I also want to suggest that others in the field
of their own interest take photos of all Mardi
Gras parades not just The Krewe Of Mid City and
if you think you have captured a ghost on film
forward it to me for investigation and I will
post it here. The opportunity to capture something
on film or digitally is always possible as we
know. but on this grand scale. And with 1000's
of photo's of New Orleans Mardi Gras Parades I
believe the proof is out there.
We as investigators all know that we are a rare
breed and that those that are skeptical of such
will write this page off as smoke and reflections.
I do suggest everyone take this with a grain of
salt. The ghost image is truly in the eye of the
beholder. explanations abound for everything under
sun, I only place these photos here as an attempt
for other to see my investigation. and to judge
on their own my findings. I call all to investigate
all ghost , haunting's and areas of the world
for your self. As I feel I as a investigator that
what proof I place to you to scrutinize is yours
to conjecture.
Any haunted city or particular haunted Parade
Den location may require permission to visit
or conduct a private paranormal investigation.
The contents of information is a compilation
of information from readers and submissions,
and they may not be accurate. We do suggest
you investigate it for yourselves to find
out the truth.
Many Professional Investigators, Ghost
Hunters, and authorities in the field
suggest you call ahead and contact somone
to allow you the accsess of the particular
haunted places you want to investigate.
It is always better to be recognized rather
then arressted for ghost hunting.

* indicates best or most
popular New Orleans Mardi Gras Parade "must-
see, Mardi Gras Parades must - experience
parades"!
Early 2007 Mardi
Gras New Orleans Hotel reservations are
advised*
Mardi Gras means "Fat Tuesday"
in French and was given the name because
of the feasting (and partying) that would
occur on this last night before the beginning
of Lent, the Christian period of self-denial
and abstinence that ends with Easter. Fat
Tuesday can occur on any Tuesday from Feb.
3 through March 9, but is always 47 days
before Easter. Today, Mardi Gras is characterized
by its parades. There are more than 70 parades
held in the four parishes of Orleans, Jefferson,
St. Bernard and St. Tammany. The parades
begin in January but the full-blown celebration
that is Mardi Gras is truly under way in
the days right before and on Fat Tuesday.
Ground zero for Mardi Gras is the French
Quarter, where streets are packed with people
in search of beads thrown by patrons from
the balconies. While the festivities have
a reputation for being awash in debauchery,
many families find the kid-friendly side
of Mardi Gras by seeking out less-crowded
and tamer areas.
